Banana Pancake Recipes
Ingredients
- Large ripe bananas
- 1-cup flour
- 2-teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2-teaspoon salt
- 1/4-teaspoon cinnamon
- Dash of grated nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Optional
2 additional bananas to slice and serve on top of the pancakes
Maple syrup
Instructions
Mash two bananas and keep aside.
Add all the dry ingredients together and mix well in a medium-mixing bowl.
Add the mashed bananas along with the wet and dry ingredients and blend until moist. The paste will appear to be lumpy.
Put oil on the frying pan and drop spoonfuls of banana pancake batter on the griddle and cook each side till brown.

Ingredients
- ½ cup corn meal
- 1½ cups flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs

Mix and sift all the dry ingredients together and then add milk, beaten eggs and melted butter; and mix well.

- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup vegetable shortening
- 4 squares chocolate
- 1½ cups flour, measured after sifting

- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
Cream the vegetable shortening and sugar and add the beaten eggs to it.
Once properly mixed add the molten chocolates and beat thoroughly.
Now sift salt and baking powder with the flour and add milk alternating to the previous mixture.
Add the flavoring at the end and beat thoroughly before putting in a well-greased pan with vegetable shortening.
Bake in moderately heated oven for 40 minutes.
Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients
- squares unsweetened chocolate
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup cream
- ¾ tablespoon granulated galantine
- 3 tablespoons boiling water
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 quart cream
Instructions
Melt the chocolate and then add powdered sugar and slowly a gradual flow of one cup cream.
Stir this mixture over fire till it reaches the boiling point and then add gelatine dissolved in boiling water, sugar and vanilla.
Strain the mixture in a bowl and set it in a pan of ice water stirring continuously till the mixture thickens.
Now fold in the whip from the remaining cream. Mould the mixture, pack it in salt and ice and let it stand for four hours.
